Benefit of Cloning Files in ConnectKey Devices

If you have a Xerox copier, and it has the ConnectKey platform (think bigger color touch screens) – one of the cool things you can do is grab a cloning file after you are done getting everything working.  Why clone?

The first benefit to cloning is if you get another copier at another location.  Setup goes from 20 to 30 minutes to 2 or 3.  If you are working on rolling out a dozen or a hundred copiers, this is a huge time saver.

The second reason to grab a cloning file is this – say everything is working great, and then all of the sudden, one day settings are erased or copier stops working.  If you have the clone file, you can install that and the copier should work again.  If it doesn’t, you know there was a network change causing the issue, and you need to get your IT team to resolve it as it was working perfectly and now with the new network settings, it is not.

We see people grab these files and save themselves tons of time and this is simply a 2 minute safety measure.
